Date: 28 May 2026 (Thursday)
Time: 3:00pm – 8:00pm
Venue: Rayson Huang Lecture Theatre, The University of Hong Kong

Organised by the AI in Education Lab at the University of Hong Kong, this landmark event brought together over 500 registrants, including principals, teachers, and students from nearly 100 schools across Hong Kong, as well as many researchers and industry partners. With 38 exhibition booths showcasing the very latest in AI-powered teaching and learning tools, it was a day defined by one shared mission: to bring practical AI education into every classroom.

The event was co-organised by HKU Techno-Entrepreneurship Core, the Hong Kong Association of the Heads of Secondary Schools (香港中學校長會), the Association of Chinese Middle Schools (香港中文中學聯會), the Hong Kong Subsidized Secondary Schools Council (香港津貼中學議會), and the Hong Kong Aided Primary School Heads Association (香港資助小學校長會), with generous support from Young DAB (青年民主建港協進聯盟), Zense AI, Meta Dot, the Rotary Club and Interact Club, The Salvation Army Hong Kong & Macau Command (救世軍), Yan Chai Hospital (仁濟醫院), and Pok Oi Hospital (博愛醫院).

The forum opened with remarks from Professor Rui Yang, Dean of the Faculty of Education at the University of Hong Kong, before moving onto a full afternoon of keynotes, school sharing, and international exchange.

Prof. Cecilia Chan delivered a keynote on AI in Teaching & Learning, where she showcased tools developed by her team, including SuperTA and the Exam Generator. She also introduced her TACO and AI-resilient assessment frameworks, and how they are reshaping the way we teach and evaluate in the age of AI.

Two school case presentations were shared during the forum. The Mission Covenant Church Holm Glad College (基督教聖約教會堅樂中學), together with Meta Dot and HKU SWIMS, presented their project on Artificial Intelligence and Ocean STEAM, showcasing interdisciplinary AI learning across science, technology, and environmental education. Pok Oi Hospital 80th Anniversary Tang Ying Hei College (博愛醫院八十週年鄧英喜中學), together with Zense AI, shared their work on Generative AI and School-Based Intellectual Property, spanning languages, arts, business, and ICT.
The forum also welcomed Prof. Jason Lodge from the University of Queensland, who offered rich international perspectives on how educators and institutions worldwide are navigating the AI era, as well as finding thoughtful, evidence-based answers.

A Partnership Ceremony was held to recognise the principals and representatives from 18 outstanding partner schools for their commitment to integrating AI education research into real classrooms.

While the formal forum concluded at 4:30pm, the energy and discussion seamlessly transitioned into a lively exhibition, alongside parallel presentations from schools and companies. Attendees explored the expo booths, connected with peers, and exchanged ideas well into the evening.
