Cecilia was invited as a panel discussant and speaker for the ‘Excellent Teachers on Teaching Excellence 2017 Symposium’ at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The panelists also included Prof. Chih Chen Chang from HKUST, Prof. Siu Cheung Kong from EdUHK, Prof. Eugenia Ng and Dr. Eva Wong from HKBU as well as Prof. Keith Trigwell from Sydney University as the Keynote speaker. They discussed how current best practices help us shape the future learning and teaching in higher education. As a presenter for the parallel session, Cecilia talked about the assessment of generic skills in the context of engineering higher education in Hong Kong. Emily and Lillian from the team were also invited to this symposium as presenters on “Teaching Outside the Box”: Sharing What Works for Engineering and Science Teachers and they did a great job!!
