Our team organized a HAVE, U Can reunion event on 25th June 2018 with students from Cognitio College who have joined our programme last September. Over 80 students actively participated in this interactive 2-hour session workshop, which further promotes positive attitudes and virtues. The HAVE, U Can Programme, funded by the University Grants Committee (UGC) to enhance university students’ holistic competencies, was successfully completed on the 8th June. The programme was led by Dr. Cecilia Chan, the Head of Professional Development at the University of Hong Kong, collaborated with the Chinese University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, Hong Kong Baptist University, Lingnan University and the Education University of Hong Kong.

Following Homantin Government Secondary School’s enthusiastic response to the HAVE, U Can programme carried out last July, a two-hour long workshop is carried out to further promote the importance of good virtues and spread love to the society. She also met with Prof. Yao-Wen Chang and his colleagues from the Center for Teaching and Learning Development at the National Taiwan University. Cecilia was invited as a speaker to the AMEA Symposium at HKU Li Ka Shing Faculty of Medicine on 15th December 2017. The Symposium was a 3-day event to celebrate both the 20th anniversary of AMEA, as well as the 130th anniversary of the HKU Medical Faculty, over 1000 people attended the symposium Cecilia gave a presentation on Holistic Competencies, and it was very well received with audiences expressing interest in learning more about the opportunities for collaboration.
