13th December 2017 – Graduate School Award Presentation Ceremony 2017
Congratulations to Katherine for receiving the Hong Kong PhD Fellowships (2017-18). The Hong Kong PhD Fellowship is a prestigious fellowship for postgraduate students in Hong Kong, the success rate is very low so well done, Katherine! 11th December 2017 – Excellent Teachers on Teaching Excellence 2017 Symposium
Cecilia was invited as a panel discussant and speaker for the ‘Excellent Teachers on Teaching Excellence 2017 Symposium’ at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University. The panelists also included Prof. Chih Chen Chang from HKUST, Prof. Siu Cheung Kong from EdUHK, Prof. Eugenia Ng and Dr. Eva Wong from HKBU as well as Prof. Keith Trigwell from Sydney University as the Keynote speaker. 7th December 2017 – Blended Learning for University Enhancement: Sharing Promising Practices and Lessons Learnt
Cecilia attended the ‘Blended Learning for University Enhancement: Sharing Promising Practices and Lessons Learnt’ at The Education University of Hong Kong as a speaker to share about how HKU support their staff to engage in research of their blended learning practices and how they engage in the scholarship of teaching. 9th November 2017 – UGC Project Meeting
Our first UGC meeting was held on 9th November 2017 for the project titled “Driving Cultural and Educational Shift: Providing Support, Activities and Professional Development in the Pedagogy, Assessment and Evidence of Student Learning in Holistic Competencies”. All the collaborators in the meeting were actively engaged in the discussion and we took a group photo to mark the start of this collaboration!


18th to 21st September 2017 – Cognitio College HAVE, U Can Programme
Our HAVE, U Can Programme with Cognitio College ended successfully on 21st September 2017. Throughout the whole programme, students were grouped into 15 teams to complete different missions which required a mixture of generic skills, such as teamwork, communication, consideration, critical thinking, creativity and etc. We are pleased to observe that the level of students’ engagement has improved significantly during this short period.
