On 18 March 2025, Prof. Cecilia Chan delivered her welcome address at the Alibaba Cloud Academy Onwards Summit 2025 in Singapore, which brought together experts from education and academia to explore opportunities in AI and sustainability, paving the way for meaningful advancements.
Prof. Chan also served as a Keynote speaker at the Summit, sharing her expert insights on the applications and future possibilities of AI in education.
She later took part in the Summit’s roundtable session, contributing to the thought-provoking discussions, and attended the gala dinner, a vibrant gathering where scholars and industry experts connected, exchanged ideas, and fostered collaborations.
At the award ceremony, Prof. Chan was also honoured with the prestigious “AI Role Model University of the Year” award, representing the University of Hong Kong.
